Purpose

 

The purposes for which the Society has been organized are:

 

  • To foster interest in and appreciation of the ornamental trees in the genus Malus and related genera;

​

  • To provide a forum for the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and ideas among such interest;

 

  • To promote an appreciation of the virtues of crabapple trees and to educate the public on the most desirable cultivars;

 

  • To serve the members of the Society and the general public to the extent that the resources of the Society permit.

 

The thrust is to be fourfold, through education, publication, research and service.

 

The purposes of this Society are educational and charitable exclusively, within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 of the United States of America.
